Cooking Program
Do I need to be an experienced cook?
Not at all! Our classes are open to everyone — from complete beginners to food lovers. Our instructors guide you step-by-step, making it fun and easy to follow.
Is the course hands-on?
Yes! Every participant has their own cooking station and gets to prepare and cook all dishes themselves using fresh, local ingredients.
Do I visit the market during my class?
Yes, you’ll visit a local Thai market with your instructor to learn about herbs, vegetables, and spices while selecting your dishes.
Can we choose the dishes we like?
Yes, you can select from a variety of options including salads, soups, stir-fried dishes, curry paste & curry, and dessert. Each participant can cook different dishes based on their preferences.
I have more than two people in my group. Can we cook separate dishes?
Absolutely! Each person can choose their own menu — for example, two different soups, four curry options, and several stir-fried dishes. Everyone cooks individually but shares the fun together.
How far is the cooking class from the city?
Our school is located at the scenic Grand Canyon Chiang Mai, just 20–30 minutes from the Old City — surrounded by water and greenery.
What are your class sizes?
We keep our classes small and personal — usually between 3 to 12 participants. During peak season, we may host slightly larger groups, but we always ensure everyone gets personal attention.
Will I be able to cook these dishes back home?
Yes! You’ll receive an E-recipe book after the class, including ingredient substitutions and easy-to-find alternatives so you can recreate authentic Thai flavors anywhere.
Transport
Do you offer pick-up and drop-off service?
Yes! We provide free transfers from all accommodations within 5 km of Chiang Mai Old City.
For hotels outside this area, a small surcharge applies — please contact our customer service team for details.
What kind of transportation is used for pick-up and drop-off?
All transfers are in comfortable 12-seater minivans, with air conditioning.
Is it possible to be picked up at the airport, bus, or train station?
We recommend staying at least one night before your class, as flight and bus delays are common. Unfortunately, we cannot wait for delayed arrivals.
Is it possible to be dropped off at the airport, bus, or train station?
Yes, but please ensure your next journey departs at least two hours after the class ends.
Notify us 24 hours in advance if you will bring luggage, as space in the van is limited.
Drop-offs will be made in the most efficient route for all guests.
Bookings & Payment
How far in advance should I book?
Bookings should be made at least 24 hours before your preferred date. Same-day bookings may not be accepted, so we recommend reserving early to secure your spot.
Is 1,000 THB the final price?
Yes, 1,000 THB per person includes:
- Round-trip transfer
- Local market visit
- Cooking 7 dishes
- Thai drink & dessert
- E-recipe book
- Access to the Grand Canyon lake
There are no hidden fees.
Do you offer discounted media or group booking rates?
Yes, for groups of 10 or more people or for media collaborations, please email us directly at cs@i-likethaicooking.com to discuss special pricing.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, credit cards, and secure online payments through Stripe or HitPay.
Special Requirements
Is there a vegetarian or vegan class?
We don’t have a separate class, but all recipes can be easily adapted to vegetarian, vegan, or pescatarian diets.
I have a food allergy — can I still join?
Yes, absolutely! We can adjust all recipes for allergies such as gluten-free, lactose-free, or nut-free. Please inform us during booking so we can prepare accordingly.
Do you accommodate dietary preferences?
Yes. We can customize each dish to suit your dietary needs — vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free. Every guest cooks their own food safely.
Do I need to participate in water activities?
No. Relaxing or swimming by the Grand Canyon lake is completely optional — you can simply enjoy the view if you prefer.

How long is the class?
Each session lasts around 5 hours, including pick-up, market visit, cooking, eating, and relaxation time.
What languages are the classes taught in?
Classes are conducted in English and Thai by experienced local instructors.
What should I bring with me?
We recommend bringing:
- Comfortable clothes
- A towel or swimwear if you plan to swim
- Your phone or camera for photos
- All cooking materials, aprons, and ingredients are provided.
Do you offer private classes?
Yes! Private or corporate sessions can be arranged upon request. Please contact us directly for availability and pricing.
What is your privacy policy?
All customer details are used solely for booking and insurance purposes. i-Like Thai Cooking School will never share your personal information with any third party without your permission, unless required by law.
Photos & Media
Can I bring a camera or GoPro?
Yes! You’re welcome to take photos or videos during class. However, we recommend protecting your device during any water activities, as the school cannot take responsibility for lost or damaged equipment.
Can I share my photos on social media?
Absolutely! You’re welcome to share your photos and tag @iLikeThaiCookingSchool on social media.
